Interventions:

Our intention in offering interventions as a part of Cascade Lakes Counseling Services, is to allow school counselors, families, and therapists working in therapeutic settings, to refer a client(s) for specialized insightful treatment that will study internal stressors (prior to and after) a relapse on drugs and alcohol. We also look at or relapse in behavior that may require outside consequences.

Interventions of this sort provide insight therapy based directly on the unwanted behavior.

The Chinese proverb “crisis is opportuntiy" comes to mind.

At times, individuals may sabotage certain efforts in an attempt to gain this very focus. The intervention is not a shaming process, rather, it is a objective therapeutic process in which a individual derives insight from process oriented techniques.

Our interventions at Cascade Lakes Counseling approach many types of learning processes, seeking to connect with the many intellects of the client. Strength and weakness profiles will be developed as well as written recommendations for future treatment planning. The intervention is an insight based therapy for the client, and serves as an assessment and learning tool for the institution or family.

In other words, if “Sam" used alcohol or marijuana while in attendance at a "local school” and was suspended, an intervention will look closely at the behavior and turn the event into a learning experience. Some schools may require an intervention before a student returns to programming. Furthermore, some families may seek themselves to have their child in this type of brief, intensive therapy instead of being at home "watching television" during the suspended period.

An intervention exercise is valuable to most any client, regardless of their stage in life.

We have specialized in interventions for anger (fighting), relapse on drugs or alcohol, sexual acting out, eating disorders (purging or restricting), obsessive compulsive issues (OCD), depression, and for general assessment.

We believe that a client has resolution in themselves and must be assisted to understand their own path. Our process allows an individual script a process map of their current situation and generate exit strategies, tools, and coping mechanisms for the future.

Each intervention that we offer is unique unto itself, as every client is an individual.

Interventions typically look at the history of behavior, internal triggers (typically emotional responses), external triggers (peers, social pressure, family dynamics, etc.), warning signs (“flags” that emerged before and after the relapse), and results (the effect of the relapse on the individual and the community or family).

An intervention is a wonderful opportunity to learn a great deal from a negative situation, and provides the individual with working tools and insight that will facilitate a choice for different outcomes in the future.

Each extended intervention will include all meals and will integrate traditional face-to-face therapy with action oriented therapy (outside ropes course experiences, team building, wilderness, etc.).

Cascade Lakes Counseling Services will assess each intervention individually and consult with the paying party for recommendations, gathering history, setting outcome objectives, and projected issues.

We at Cascade Lakes Counseling Services are open to suggestions around successful solution based therapies and can recommend ideas to support your individual needs. If requested, cascade lakes can communicate with psychiatrists, psychotherapists, case managers and educational consultants. Written discharges are available within 5 days of the completion of the intervention.

Costs for Intervention Treatment:

A. One day intervention - 8 hours - one-on-one with licensed professional counselor $450.00 per day.

B. Multiple day (2 or more day) interventions with one client and one counselor: $375.00 per day.

C. One day Intervention with up to three clients is $950.OO per day.

D. Multiple day treatments with groups of up to three students per counselor are billed at $900.00 per day.
